Underground Plumbing Rough-In for ADU Pre-Inspection

When you're building an ADU, the work happening underground is some of the most important work on the entire job. Nobody sees it once it's buried - but if it's wrong, you'll know. And fixing underground plumbing after the fact is a much bigger deal than getting it right the first time.

Here's what we were working with - a full underground plumbing rough-in at the pre-inspection stage for an ADU addition. The framing is up, the footings are set, and the drain and waste lines are all roughed in and ready for the inspector's eyes. Every pipe stub-out is positioned to line up with the future fixtures above - no guessing, no shortcuts.

Pre-inspection is honestly a critical moment on any new construction plumbing job. Everything needs to be laid out correctly, properly sloped, and secured before it gets covered up. If something's off at this stage, you want to know now - not after the slab is poured or the walls are closed in. That's the whole point of doing it right from the ground up.
